Cloud Deployment Models

Cloud computing systems can be used by organizations for differing purpose. One of the most common and visible way for a company is to build a cloud for public consumption- called Public Cloud. Examples for public cloud include Gmail, Hotmail and more.

The second way of using cloud computing is for the internal purposes of an company. In such case the cloud is called Private cloud- is meant only for the use by its employees and like. Outside people can not access it because it is within the firewall.

The other modes of using cloud are called community cloud and Hybrid cloud. The earlier is one developed by a group of organizations having common interest say financial institutions. The last one namely Hybrid cloud is a combination of public and private cloud.
